Removing Icon from systems tray

On the recommendation of a computer magazine I installed SkyBot - Search & destroy.
It was not what I expected & I uninstalled it. The Icon however remains in my systems tray on the bottom right of my computer. Not only is it annoying me but I suspect it may slow down my start up.

Can anyone please advise how I can remove it entirely?

Thanks.

Maybe I should have added that I use Windows 7.
Or SpyBot even.
