Does anyone know how I can stop interference on skype while talking to some one?
can see them ok, but only have this trouble when I am talking to this certain friend who lives in Cyprus. Its a weird chirping, pecking kind of sound.
Drove me nuts this morning and had to end the call as I couldnt make out what they were saying. Any ideas please?

As you only get it talking to one person what makes you think there is anything you can do to stop the interference, it sounds more like they'd have to do something to stop the interference. that being the case as we have no idea what type of setup they are using it's a bit hard to suggest what may be causing the noises.

Oh ok Chuck! Sounds weird as it only has happened on the last 2 skype calls.
I told her to turn her sound down and it only made a tiny bit of difference.
She's skyped before and not had this problem, so maybe next time it may clear its self? Thanks for reply Chuck x
If it does happen again you can try getting them to make a call to another person and see if they hear the interference, if they do then it's certainly the other end causing the problem.

The most likely causes of it would be something like a mobile phone, cordless phone, wireless router, baby monitor (anything with a radio transmitter in it really) that has been positioned close to where they are talking.

Thanks Chuck.
I did wonder if there was interference from her house causing all the screeching horrible sound. Will ask her to check next time. She uses her Big P.C, as far as I know. Its one of lifes mysteries ay . Thanks again x
