My dog just put his paw on the keyboard

and now everything on the screen is sort of stretched sideways, rather like when you look in one of them funny mirrors! How can I get it back to normal?

Sounds like your pooch has changed the resolution on your screen. What O/S are you using. If Windows 7 right click on the desktop and select 'Resolution' and choose one your happy with.
Otherwise go into control panel and look for an option to change the screen size.

try the control button and the number 0 - it brings my screen back to the way I like it.
