I use Windows LiveMail and in the Safety Options - Blocked Senders file there is an option that when I click 'Delete and Block' the email should bounce back to the sender. How do I 'delete AND block' please? If I delete or block (there is no facility to do both) the messages disappears but I still get junk emails from that source despite me having blocked them several times previously. I have checked the address and it is 100% identical in all cases.

You can't delete and block. if it's blocked then there would be nothing there to be deleted.

I bet the emails are not 100% identical, the reply address may be the same but the source address is not the same as a reply address and I'd bet they are different.

Thanks Chuck, the option definitely says 'delete AND block' but I make you right that you can't do both unless there is a specific button for that. I accept what you say about the address and that an address can be hidden etc. I'm on Windows7 on a Dell Studio17. Any other advice appreciated as to how I can stop a sudden deluge of junk mail. Do I have to change my address do you think? Is there a way I can pose the former question to LiveMail at all? Much obliged.
I believe the option comes with the received email....not sure which emails get this option but probably the ones that WLM decides in it's wisdom (?) may be undesireable...

If you then click on this option AND have the bounce back option ticked in your Safety Options, the email is bounced, the sender blocked and the email then deleted............

Probably more to it than that as I did see somwhere that POP3 accounts don't get this feature....maybe CF could comment some ...............
Just log into web mail and look for spam and blocking settings.
Add the whole domain .. IF it a special one.
Add the variation of addresses if it is not.
You will achieve nothing in the program .. except maybe move incoming emails into recycle bin.
The key is to work at ISP level if possible .. then you will see very little.
