I've received a message from Windows live hotmail member services (or something like that.
they want me to log in to my hotmail account to continue to receive messages. Is it real, or a scam?

Scam. If in doubt go and log in through a legitimate page and not through the link in the email.

It was to my hotmail address, but I think spam. Logged in to my hotmail account and there were no messages for me.
