Imported music crackly

Hi, I have bought several CDs recently & imported them into itunes. However 3 of them sound very crackly. HMV says the discs themselves are fine. ANy ideas pls

Probably over-modulated sound level. Check the sound settings .. particularly recording level adjustment (if any)

Thanks ,how do I do that?

In the iTunes settings .. Something should be there.
If not, all you can do is use your sound mixer panel to make sure sliders are all 3/4 way up scale and try again.
