why do google and yahoo time out on every search?

this is driving me nuts does anyone have any idea what is causing this please?

Could be something simple dotty. Had something similar with PC last week. I closed down, switched off and unplugged at the wall. Waited a couple of minutes for the system to debug itself. Then started again. Close your laptop - then switch back on and hope for the best.

Your hosts file is full of rubbish that is redirecting your searches to a different place.

If you actually stuck with one thread where I was trying to help you we may have got this fixed by now.

Run the fix it from here and it will restore your hosts file back to default.

Then follow the other advice I gave about running a malwarebytes scan, becuase you have picked up an infection that has caused this problem.

thanks Chuck! I'm an impatient cow when I don't understand what is going on, sorry to be A PAIN, all seems fine now and I can post vids now I think!
