My laptop has HDMI, but there an analog RGB socket on the TV fo PC input.
I'm looking to buy the cable but I'm not technical, I've seen HDMI to VGA which looks right.
Am I right in thinking I'd need a seperate sound cable too. Any help greatly appreciated, TIA

99% of the time a HDMI to VGA will not work. but all laptops have a VGA output so why not just use that?

And yes, if you use VGA you need a 2nd cable for audio.
