Currently updating my MP3 files that have not been touched for years. Found I have loads of dupes, a mish mash of filenames, and many mp3 files with no visible clue what they are or who by. I've been to download.com to see if any programs there might help but not seen anything. I DID buy one a few weeks back called tune up but it has fudged up many of the correct ones . Can people suggest programs I might look at even if they only do part of what I need to be done.

There is only one thing that can successfully sort out all your MP3's and that's you and a lot of time.
I've found the only way to accurately and simply store music files is to forget any kind of automated software and simply use common sense and the filing system already built into the operating system.

You are SOOOOO right Chuck - one of the reasons I am in this mess with them is previous attempts to sort them has led to dupes, same files under different names, and me eventually giving up only to come back to it later trying something different which only adds to the aggro.
