deleted folder from removable usb stick

Ahhhhh I have accidently deleted a folder from my removable usb stick, where has it gone and why has it not gone into my recycle bin on the desktop? Am using windows 7 professional.

deleting from a usb doesnt send them to your recycle bin. they are gone for ever

I think you can get programs that can get your deleted files back. It may work on usb sticks like it does with hard drives as long as your usb device shows up as a drive when your running one of these programs. There are many recovery programs about, just have to get hold of one. make sure you don't put any new files on your usb device before you recover the deleted file as it may wipe over the one you are trying to recover and then it wont be recoverble.

Yes the recovery programs can retrieve deleted filed from USB devices and cards.
I use FileRecovery which I have had for may years and it definitely works but cost.

Since then there is Recuva. It is free.

Whatever you don't write anything to the drive in the meantime.
