Well,I don't know if one of these were posted earlier about the Wimbledon Tennis Championship, but I thought I would post one of my own.
The best man won in the end!!
I really thought Andy was going to turn the tide and win it at one point.
But,Mr Federer wins the Wimbledon tournament and claims his 15th grand slam. What a powerful tennis player he is peeps! No wonder he was tough to beat.
But,Andy Roddick tried every single thing he could do to counterattack his serves.I thought the final set was never going to end. What was the final score?
I forget.I think it was 17 - 15 wasn't it?
I have never seen a tennis match with a final set going to double figures before.Wow,what a match eh!
Phew,we wonder if Andy Murray can pull a trick or two to beat his opponents next year.He will have to train hard.
Any further comments will be greatly appreciated......

Pity one of them had to lose. A match in the 60/70's Pancho Gonzalez and Charlie Passarell went to 19-17 if I remember correctly.

Yeah ,I agree Everhelpful.

It was quite a battle between them both.I wonder what the winners cheque was.I heard that the runner up received 425,000.
I wouldn't have minded that amount for being runner up.
Phew, anyway,as for the 19-17 score you mentioned, I bet that was quite a match to see as well.
Thanks for your comment Everhelpful.
:-)
I always like to answer you as you are always appreciative.
First round match ^ and no tie-breaks then.....

22-24 1-6, 16-14, 6-3, 11-9
You have to hand it to the Fed man. What a game, though. Felt gutted for Roddick, though. Pity they couldn't have called it a draw?

Has there been a better final since the Borg / McEnroe days?
If so, I can't think of it offhand.

Makes you think doesn't it that Serena got the same prize money for her 2 straight sets......

I didn't watch the Ladies Final.
I thought that would be a bit boring as the outcome would only be a Williams family celebration once again.......

Thanks folks for your great comments!!

I'm heading off to bed now.If there are going to be any further comments,I will read them tomorrow.
Night all!!

Hmmm,before i go...i'm not sure but i think the winner of todays Men's Final receives 700,000 .
Nice prize eh!!
Wouldn't mind that myself......nice.....

800,000+ I think he got.

Did you know that the first round losers get over 10,000?!
I might join up myself next year, hit the ball about a bit and claim my 10 big ones.
Question Author
Wow,that is one helluva big cheque to receive squarebear.
I wouldn't mind that at all myself.
Thanks for the helpful link Rollo....I'll keep that in mind.
^_^
I backed Roddick to beat Murray and backed him to win the final @ 14/1, during the tie break for the second set I text my mate saying "beers are on me" and it went t!ts up from there on

Lol......ELVIS

Maybe Murray will win next year.He seems to be getting stronger on his tennis playing.Plus,he's still young!!
So he will have plenty of time to win the Wimbledon Championship.
-- answer removed --
Murray won`t win it while Federer and Nadal are still around
