Only Kiwi I can think of who fits is Nonu, but I can't get the rest of the clue - is is gk or cryptic?

THe crossword is mostly gk but there are some cryptic and anagrams.

I thought of nonu but can't confirm his brother living or playing in Ireland.

Newbridge have invested heavily again in overseas talent with Pale Nonu (brother of Ma'a Nonu) being their latest big name signing
