Quite frankly, I don't think any manager could've done much with Mike Ashley's padlocked wallet and a squad that can only be described as "sub-par".

I personally hope Steve Bruce enjoys is 8 million.Even with all their money Newcastle can’t sign any players until January 2022.By the time that comes round they could be adrift at the bottom of the table.They Will then be left with loan players as they wouldn’t want to sign the most expensive players in the championship.
