Could it be that people are fed up with having BLM everywhere they look, sport,tv,newspapers, demonstrations and so on, that a lone guy says also White Lives Matter....Burnley is going to impose a lifetime ban for this, perhaps saying Black and white lives matter may have been a more powerful message?

"when you watch the nine minutes of Geo Floyd dying - you feel exactly the same thing ?" What has that to do with the UK and it's citizens ? Governments can officially protest, but interest groups using it as an excuse to cause trouble in a different country, and disharmony between parts of it's society, that otherwise get on, is unacceptable. Slogans implying...

White Lives don't matter do they? Three white people murdered at the weekend by a coloured maniac. It's got nothing to do with Burnley FC. As I've said before on here, I can't believe the Premier League and all the clubs have got themselves roped into this. What do they hope to gain? What do BLM hope to gain? Does anyone know?
sorry, this has got right up my nose.
10cs no one knows i suspect, they have lost the plot entirely..
Panic and over-reaction are the new, errr, black.

Don’t apologise Emmie, Most lateral thinking people are fed up with it
10c, it has everything to do with Burnley who are issuing a public apology because of a small plane flying over the pitch with a banner saying White Lives Matter and will issue a life time ban to the person( s) responsible
Thanks Bobbi, but what has the small plane got to do with Burnley FC? The plane flew over Man Citys' stadium didn't it? I still don't see what it's got to do with either club.

Arh right, sorry 10c, it’s the Ethiad it flew over, I get what you’re saying ,
White lives do matter, but was the banner flown as an act of provocation immediately following the footballers kneeling?
Perhaps this is why Burnley apologised:-
//. Burnley local Jake Hepple has claimed responsibility for the stunt.//
In my opinion, the club were correct to apologise and distance themselves from this stunt. Had they said nothing, some would see it as BFC having condoned it. And, whoever chartered the flight cannot claim to be a fan of the club, knowing full well the controversy this action would lead to. Those responsible have most likely never set foot inside Turf Moor.
Danny's link just about sums up the mind set of the guy responsible. Burnley Football Club - any football club, for that matter - would be much the better without the so-called allegiance of Jake Hepple and his kind.
Indeed so Ken
I believe Burnley lost the match - the players were so upset! Excuses, excuses.
10CS/emmie- yes the plane flew over City's ground but the banner said "White Lives Matter Burnley!" and a Burnley fan has claimed responsibility for organising the flight , paid for via a crowdfunding exercise organised by a small group of Burnley fans.
So Burnley FC wanted to disassociate themselves from it. Certainly nothing to do with Man City, hence no apology from them
The difference here is, the black community continue to say black lives matter, which it does, but when the white community say white lives matter, they have to apologise. Why the double standards if people are demanding parity?
They've the whip hand and they're gonna use it.
nothing to apologise for why is the word "white" not allowed? I don't see the problem. Only racists could be offended.
Context is everything.
Do white lives matter?
They do.
This was a stunt by from a highly dubious source.
The reason Burnley FC were right to apologise has already been well explained above.
//In my opinion, the club were correct to apologise and distance themselves from this stunt.//

Apologise for what? Someone having the temerity to hold an opinion that doesn’t comply with the current politically correct requirement that we're all expected to embrace? How very dare they? In my opinion football clubs should have distanced themselves from it all in the first place. They should stick to playing football - not politics.
