Am I right in thinking it was Senegal who raised the issue as West Ham said he was injured and couldn't play in the Africa Cup of Nations only to see him come on as a sub and score the winner against Bristol City? £71k fine is nothing to them, West Ham should be kicked out and Bristol City take their place in the next round

Hopefully someone will kick you.

Why is that then?
All the teams in the country have broken the rules at some stage, in fact every player dishonours the game every time they go on the pitch. Why single out one club?

See West Ham have been fined £71,000, hardly much of a fine after the fuss FIFA made.
FIFA are judging West ham! Right oh! PMSL!
A link to the story and supposed furore would have been nice............!
west ham at it again they think that the laws don't apply to them run by pornographers and their chief executive as just been ennobled.
FAO chilldoubt:

Diafra Sakho pulled out of Senegal's World Cup squad, but then scored the winner in West Ham's F.A. Cup tie against Bristol City 18 days later (Played on Sunday 25th January). There was talk that West Ham could be kicked out of the competition

Many thanks Stephen_G. Odd that Bristol City took the stance they did, especially after their manager wished West Ham every success "and we'll be rooting for them"!

Doubt if Steve Cottrell new the position at the time.
Pathetic storm in a teacup really, massively blown out of proportion by the BBC with their 'headlines'. Kissball (and FIFA in particular)has far bigger matters to be dealing with right now
They're waiting for the boys from Manchester to turn up... they always seems to be trouble with the Hammers. as for septic bladder (FiFa) surely by now he must realise his days are numbered.
