Why should football be responsible for a societal problem that sometimes manifests itself at football, among other places?
Question Author
come on! It's a big issue in Football these days.
ban anyone who makes racist remarks, whether football fan, manager, or star footballer, you won't crack this until someone says enough is enough.
I can't answer your question but think the actions of the players in this instance may go a long way to sort the problem, what a great show of support for the black player from both teams.

Does my head in this does.
Racism is a social problem not a football one..I haven't personally heard any racist chants or comments since the early 80's at West Brom and then they were aimed at some of our players.

Just another stick to beat us with.

I beg to differ. I support him fully as far as opposing racism goes, but his actions punished those in the crowd who did nothing, meaning a small minority ruined it for everyone. Furthermore, I doubt any of the hard of thinking went home and repented their stupidity because a game had finished early, in fact they probably revelled in the publicity. As already pointed out by triggerhappy, UEFA need to prioritise, not vaccilate.
