For over two hrs I have been watching the Olympic Finals on TV and am completely mystified by what is still in progress. Perhaps it is because I live in a foreign Country to that where the Games have taken place.

I am resident in Wales and feel sure that other Countries are also confused by the Closing Ceremony.

Perhaps someone can throw some light on what it's all about.

It's a celebration of British music, ron, it's a party- what is there to be mystified about? Living in Wales or any other part of GB + NI isn't relevant.
we're holding the athletes to ransom until they give us their gold medals - if the spice girls don't make that happen then nothing will

The whole purpose of it was to befuddle and confuse all the miserable people in the world. It's how we get our own back on them.

sibton....I know you would rather Viv comment than me. At the moment she is trying to keep awake for her Sister and daughter (Niece) who have spent a buffet evening with us and they are are still wide awake...They eat a lot but don't drink as much as we do :-)

Well Ron I'm 64 years old and thought it was bloody great.......what part didn't you understand?

OK, it was a celebration of British music and evoked a party atmosphere; although most of the time I couldn't understand what was really happening. It would have been nice if the programme had been overlaid with more commentary.

Whether it was worth 20million pounds, is another issue.
