Corner?
Question Author
how can it be off side?

Factor is correct.
Corner
A goal may only be scored against the opposing side, thus an own goal may not be scored. If the ball lands in the own goal, a corner kick is awarded to the opposing team.

Remember that throw in a few years ago ( a Midlands team- Villa or Birmingham) where a player took a thrown in, threw it back to the keeper who swung hs foot at it but missed the ball which then rolled into the net?
Everyone criticised the keeper but as far as I could see he never touched the ball so the referee should have given a corner
