Which mountain bike saddle would be more comfortable, a gel one or a sprung one please? I'm suffering!

I`ve changed bike saddles more times than I can remember. I`ve tried female, gel, gel covers but I find it`s the size/width which really makes the difference. Most of them are so narrow at the front they are uncomfortable whichever type they are.
