Should be back in before the off if all goes to plan. Nothing too ambitious today, but I can hope nevertheless. Sticking with the big boys on the first day.

Afternoon guys. Terribly difficult not to go with my first selection as he's playing in defence for Japan at the moment! :-/ Hardly any confidence at all behind these selections - far too much hype surrounds this meeting, imho, and it sometimes puts me off backing against so-called 'talking' horses. I could have taken bigger prices on all 4 but 365 will pay on 4 places with the slightly reduced odds;

Boosh. Not only get out of jail but the keys to the premises. After having 2 winners and no return I had a brave fiver on Dettori @10/1. Tell me why I didn't just do his 3 rides? Easy after it's over isn't it. :))

Just had a cursory look at the Ascot card, Togo, and he has chances of getting at least another 2 today - and maybe even more. Obviously Cracksman is his main ride but no-one's gonna get rich backing that one. He has a live chance in the opener and some interesting rides later on horses stepping up in class slightly. Worth a much deeper look when i get back in about midday. Good luck with your selections, Panky.

Morning Ken & Panky. I have already noted that Ken. I had a look through the card last night and am just waiting for my newspaper before placing the punt. I am thinking of giving the one trained by the American a swerve and obviously Cracksman is a bit to hot for my sort of flutter. I have another appointment with the dentist this morning for a filling and polish up. When he is done I will have a grin like Red Rum.:)) Will post my picks before I leave for the dentist. Dettori is a bit of a legend but hearing the news this morning why would an experienced rider like him have 3 wins and then a suspension for whip use? Seems crazy that he wouldn't know better?

Currently studying the 5.00 Ascot - got back a tad late. However, i do believe the omens are good for a Frankie win in the opener with Wesley Ward almost farming this race recently and with Cracksman looking the one to beat, i have done;

£5 double @ just over 6/1 - Chelsea Cloisters and Cracksman which could return £36.64.

Also, O'Brien has farmed a couple of today's races in recent times, so;

£5 double @ just under 12/1 - Kew Gardens 3.05 and Hydrangea 3.40. This one could return £64.69.

One of my brothers had a tenner on Settle for Bay @16/1. He has had my bleedin dentist money, and to rub salt in the wound he did the r/f with Afaak because I had texted it this morning as my pick. So he gets another £156 on top. Not been the best day of my life so far. :))
