The house insurance is due for renewal soon and I decided to see what M&S would quote. After filling out their on-line form they said they wouldn't quote a price as my home is at risk of flood or subsidence. That's news to me.
Or is it that they don't operate in NI?

Challenge it, sandy - they might have got your postcode mixed up with something similar in a flood risk area!

It's not due for renewal for a couple of months. Nearer the time I'll phone them and see what they say. The policy I have with Saga is fairly cheap and I might stay with them.

are you in a flood risk area? have any of your neighbours had subsidence?

NO flooding or subsidence. I've been insured on and off with Saga and Nationwide for years and no mention of either.
