Do you mean the rich bloke whose daughter was kidnapped for a huge ransom.?

If you are refering to Charles A Lindbergh the aviator, (Ironically more famous now for being a kidnapping victim!) and the house his son Charles junior (Charlie) was taken from in Hopewell New Jersey then I believe it is now a boys home. I must add though that they never actually 'lived' in that house but used to stop there at weekends during its construction, when the kidnapping took place. They refused to stay there afterwards.  Charles Lindberghs child hood house is in Little Falls Minesota on the Mississippi. I read about the case some years back and made very interesting reading.

My mistake, sorry, it was a son not a daughter.  I read about the case about 20 years ago, and can remember very little except that Lindberg was a famous aviator and hugely rich by the standard of the day. It has stuck in my mind that the child ended up dead, but I might be wrong about that, too!

Yes, they found the babys body quite a while after from what I remember, and they thought that the kidnapper had dropped the baby when he was up the ladder after getting it from it's bedroom. Awful story.

Lindbergh was the first person to fly the Atlantic solo and was a huge American hero. But this domestic tragedy hit him badly (naturally); also he became a fan of Nazi Germany.
