Finally the Yanks look as though they are willing to sell up (they were also both at the midweek game so something's definitely going on) and Liverpool can move on to better times than the last few years.

And once they've gone then the way would be clear for Benitez to go because the impasse that may have proved a deterrent to potential managers will have been lifted.

So Mourinho to be the new manager by the start of next season...

Happy days are (nearly) here again.

This News only broke yesterday bibblebub so I'm waiting for further details as there is no mention of it on the Official Website as yet.
Hopefully positive things will happen this summer and the Club can move forward in a positive manner.

Do you agree that Benitez needs to go too? Like Houllier before him, he improved the team for the first couple of years but then it's just declined - last year was a blip and this season we're back on the downward slope.

When you consider all the money he's spent on players and the generally poor standard of the current squad, he should go so that someone with different ideas and better judgement can be in charge; they could hardly do worse.
Benitez is a good Coach but his Managerial prowess is questionable with his negative approach to most of the matches by having 2 defensive midfielders in his team line up.
Notice the difference to how Lucas plays when asked to play further forward. He was man of the Match against Benfica.
Half the Squad are good enough but the rest need to be sold.
Interesting times coming up!
