Great Player but out of his depth as Manager of Tranmere. Sacked Today along with Jason Mcateer.
Same thing happened to him at Celtic.

Yep, he was a good player and so was Jason Mcateer but just by being a good player doesn't mean that they would be any good at management, we have seen it happen before with ex players who were great as players but couldn't cut the mustard as managers.

The players had nicknamed them dumb and dumber.
The worst defence in the top four leagues, equal worst in the top five the other two are fight relegation in Blue Square Premiership.
They had to go, although to be fair they had sold a lot of players in the close season.

All the Best with your Poppy selling, Steve ! Ronnie Moore should not have been given the Boot by Peter Johnson as they have no money anyway and they expected success on the basis of that. John Barnes never stood a chance and I doubt if the next Boss will fare much better.
