Don't think so. I didn't see him signal to go off. He did get a yellow card earlier in the game. Maybe it was just to give him a slight rest, and also to ensure that he didn't get another yellow!

I only asked because England have a couple of matches coming up and I know Gerrard usually likes to withdraw from them !

Nah Benitz subs him regularly normaly a bit earlier in the game.

No point in risking injury when theres no need
