Do you wait your turn patiently, passing the time of day with the other people in the queue? Or do you get yourself all het up moaning about the time its taking, making large sighs and generally being a pain in the proverbial....LOL

I was in my local supermarket earlier, there is the self service checkout and granted, a lot of the tills were not working, this man behind me was cursing and being very loud moaning about the fact that there were queues and counting the number of items in everyones basket!

When it was my turn at the till, I went very slow putting my things through and got even more agitated LOL!

Anyway, what kind of Queuer are you :D

I don't queue. If there are queues in ASDA I go home and shop in Londis unless I want KP Salt and Vinegar peanuts in which case I have to queue. When I have reached the checkout however, I have numerous ploys to hold up and annoy the rest of the queue behind me. If I've had to wait then so should they. Paying by cheque is a good one, as is sending a helpful assistant to the far end of the store to exchange your carton of orange juice for tomato juice. (This one is particularly effective if you have already seen that they have run out of tomato juice)
Hi haysie -
I'm a patient waiter. Funny this question should crop up! What really annoys me, when you're boarding a bus & the bus driver is taking a fare & the next person flashes their pass & slips on. How selfish and bad mannered is that???
I always put myself in the drivers position & think , that would really annoy me! These bus drivers must get so stressed out! How many happy drivers do we see these days? How many impatient passengers do they deal with day to day? Rant over, phew!!!

norman phillips told me it was hanson, he also said that if you correct him to his face he will "tie a knot in it"

I had no idea what he was on about

it is hansen but dont tell clarion
I'm ridiculouly patient although it winds me up if I'm trying to get somewhere and the bus is late or stops everywhere etc... though cos I don't like to be late.

What I hate is when people don't respect your personal space and queue right up against you or there's a smelly person next to you in a long queue or you see someone lefting or something.
I don't mind queuing providing everbody abides by the rules. I go ballistic with jumpers both in driving and pedestrian.

I am the WORST packer in the world! See when you go to a manned checkout and they ask you 'do you want help with your packing' and they don't really mean it, I always say 'yes please' , but they don't take any care when packing it grrrrr

I always seem to have the things that don't scan too - and end up waiting for ages whilst they go check.

I hate shopping :(
I try to avoid queues but they seem to find me! I either cause them or I think I'm doing well then the person in front discovers they don't have enough money or something. If I get stuck I just chat to people.
I always talk to the checkout girl - it must be boring saying 'do you want cash back' over and over. Mind you, there are some that I avoid.... Particularly the one that moans about how bad her job is and goes into great detail withoutleavinganygapsforyoutosayanythingback.......
I'm a patient queuer, and I always say thankyou.
Lol at Newsdesk! But if I'm in a hurry (impatience sometimes a bad trait of mine) - then I do simiolar! Won't say "the same", because it depends on what ND flashes!!
I'm not a bad Queuer but I do get a little wound up about a few things, like the people that stand there watching all there shopping being scanned and then when the checkout operator says "that will be 37.89" they then start rummaging through their bags to find their purse to get the money to pay....

Does it really come as that much of a surprise every time they go into a supermarket that they have to pay for their shopping that they don't think to get their purse out ready while they are waiting!!
It doesn't really bother me to be honest unless I'm at the 10 items or less ailse and some idiot has a trolley full....that gets my goat!!!!!!
Got one like that last week, sandrajo. She just managed to pip me to the position, so I tapped her on the shoulder and pointed out that she was in the wrong aisle. Don't think she was going to move, judging by her expression, but the cashier heard it all, agreed with me - and the woman duly skulked off!

Go shopping early morning like 7.30 so not many people about. as I am not keen on queues !!!

luckly I can get up early
lol @ taichi & chuck! xx
I pride myself on being patient and when Im standing in a queue at the checkout if the person behind me has less items Ill usually let them go ahead of me. Mind you, this display of manners has been known to bite me in the a$$.

Recently I was in the queue at my local Co-op and I had about six items in my basket. I noticed the woman behind me only had a jar of coffee so being a gentleman I offered to let her go ahead of me and she gratefully accepted. I was a bit annoyed however when she started getting served she pulled out a wad of paypoint cards and started paying varying amounts on each. Then as if that wasnt bad enough, she started asking for all kinds from the shelves behind the checkout girl:- bottle of Lambrini, bottle of vodka, cigarettes etc It wouldve been nice if shed have told me she intended to buy half the shop! Some people do stretch my patience to its limits!
Aww, bravejordy -
do'nt let that incident stop you being the gentleman that you are! xxx
