Was in Asda store yesterday morning.
Few people about and person on checkout asked did I want to download new Asda reward app.
As only my wife and I in queue I began to download but before I finished people had come in behind me so I was a bit rushed.
I did not get the Asda successfully but ended up with an S P TWO DEAL alert which informed me that I was now a subscriber to their site!
This was at 0846.
When I got home 20 minutes later and had more time I opened mailbox I realised that I had received yet more texts and been charged £8.95 plus 15p to send them an email to say I did not request of need their services.
Surely this cannot be legal. Who can I report it to go see some action taken

Then to unsubscribe I had to send them 2 texts costing me a further £0.15 each.
So in total I was charged
Surely this is not !egal.
Anyway beware.

Well thanks for the advice. Maybe one thing to take away from this is to download apps when not distracted in the queue ? One wonders if the wrong thing was clicked on. It's not going to be in Asda's interest to antagonise their customers.
Asda rewards app does not incur charges, check what you actually downloaded and if they are masquerading as an Asda app report it to Asda

Same thing happened to me, also in Asda, so now I have wasted half a day trying to unsubscribe.

When you phone the number, you never get to speak to a person, so you have to trust that they have cancelled your bogus membership, fingers crossed.

I don't how Action Fraud have not sorted these blatant scammers out.
