No, I didn't Starbuck - but unlike some, I don't presume to police AB. ;o)

Isn't it odd that sometimes people ask a question intending to disrupt and irritate, and unwittingly instigate a pretty intelligent thread. Can't help thinking they end up kicking themselves!! Not the plan at all! Haaa! :o)

I seriously think such threads should be left running. One look at the content should have indicated that people were engaging in it with great interest.
Yes Naomi, sometimes it is almost as if we ignore the original poster and continue with our own discussion.
If the thread's gone then he's banned - it was mikebravo, I had to remember to differentiate him from mike11111.
Thank God for that!
Question Author
Exactly Starbuck. If it's a good question people will respond regardless of where it comes from.
The disappearance of the thread in mention on this thread is exactly my point and 'beef' here - http://www.theanswerb...s/Question972934.html
This particular poster definitely needed removing. I looked at his profile and all the questions were peculiar to say the least. Other posters responded to a couple of them in spite of their oddness and continued until somehow or other the oddness of the first post had been changed and become an intelligent thread .
Question Author
Fine, ban or suspend the poster - but if the thread isn't offensive there's no reason to zap it.
Pity... it was an interesting exchange...

I agree Clanad - and I had every intention of saying I didn't agree with you (if you see what I mean) and there it was - gone - as they say! Hopefully we'll pick the discussion up another time. I'm sure we will. :o)
Why doesn't one of you who isn't banned just re-ask the question?
I know that won't make all the great points you made before reappear, but at least you will be able to continue the debate without it being zapped again.
What was the question?
Question Author
I thought of that Ludwig, but the moment had passed really. Too much to recover.
Question Author
It was something like 'Who was the Holy Ghost', but like most questions in R&S by the time it was zapped it had ventured into very different territory.

Night all. x
I know what you mean Naomi. Sometimes these things build a momentum which it's impossible to recover. There's a saying - 'You can't reheat a souffle'.
Question Author
Haa! I can't even cook one! :o)

Night. x
Nite naomi - nite from me too x
Was that the one I posted on where I told Keyplus that a statement he made about Christianity not being mentioned in the Bible was contradicted by a reference from the Book Of Acts? There seemed to be nothing in the posts which warranted withdrawal. However, it only takes one to report an answer with which he does not agree for the law to take its course. No names, no pack drill.
