So for those who fear an Islamic takeover, or just johnny foreigner and the problems with immigation, what is it that you are afraid of losing?
Please I don't want another diatribe about the Muslims etc, all I want to know is, what is it you are trying to preserve, how do you think you can preserve it?
I honestly fear that any solutions mooted would result in the death of the very facets and aspects of British culture that you wish to preserve.

This reply is not from the loony party, it is a reply to a straight and honest question, from a straight & honest citizen of the UK.

Thanks TWR, but, all you've told me is what you are against.
What is it about Britain that you feel is threatened and you wish to preserve?
Well Everton, it would be the rights to say what we think, not to have people on our streets preaching hatred & getting away with it, & before anyone pipes up I do not belong to the BNP, the volume of immigration & need I say why they want to come here? Is it because of some @rsols in the UK Government handing out our money as if it was confetti. there is something wrong,

I'm not anti-muslim or anybody else really (well I have mixed feelings about Americans and the French although that's a different story) and I can't see the take over happening soon but the honest answer to your question would have to be beer. I once went to the wedding of a muslim friend, nice do, made really welcome but we all sat around drinking coca cola!
To me it is more about the fact that they are sticking 2 fingers up at us and our laws, we are now a multi cultural society and the true British culture is unfortunately long gone. What really gets to me is that anyone living in this country should at least have a bit of pride for the country, speak the language and not expect us to change to suit them. Women have fought for equality now our equality laws are being broken but challenging them would break our race descrimination laws. The muslims that refused to stand before a judge should have been sent to the cells until they agreed to respect our laws as would have happened to me. Theres nothing in their religeon that says they shouldnt show respect for anyone other than allah and the judge was to scared of being branded a racist if she questioned it! We should not have to change our laws and way of life to allow minorities to live amongst us, they should make the effort to fit in. Not by adopting our culture and becoming english, just by speaking the language and respecting our law!

There is a Mr. Sage. He takes the becoming of the universe for one morning and the eternity in the blink of an eye. The sun is his window and the moon his door, the corners of the world are merely drops of his backyard! He doesn't walk but wander and he dwells wherever he stops adrift. He has the clouds be his canopy and the earth be his mat.

Insouciantly, he goes about with his carafe and wine bowl dangling no matter in motion or stillness, completely awash with wine, completely free from all the ebbs and flows.

The glided heir and the dormant scholar heard about my reputation. They set out to denounce me. They run to me with their chests swelled and sleeves rolled; give me a verbiage of rites and rules with bulging eyes and trembling lips. I myself, however, hold up my keg and dipper with total disregard to their presence. Sipping my wine, playing my beard and sitting with my feet facing the pair -- same as blithely as I've always been -- as I listen to their raging snarl. Ha, with my koji-mold pillow and lee-mash cushion, I spoiled myself into seraphic sensation! I am as carefree as a man can be.

I drunk in a snap and I awake with a start. I hear not the roar of thunders in sheer tranquility; I make out not the silhouette of Mount Tai by bright clarity nor can I sense the any hoarse of the cold and hot. Value and vanity are nothing but floundering lotus leaves by the shores when I look down upon the myriad of chores.

Beside me, the two gentlemen are slurring as if moths and bees!
Just for you Rev.

Liu Ling BTW, was renowned for his drunkeness, his servant was famed for always carrying with him a spade, because it was his earnest desire that if he should die from drink that he should be buried where he was stood.
So far (the Rev excluded) all I've heard is what you're against, I won't to know what it is you wish to preserve?
Teleph0ne some links would be useful to at least illustrate your point.
Very poetic Ev, but you haven't been sampling something a little stronger than beer have you?
Question Author
Alas no, Im laying off the pop for a bit, we were away all Saturday at a function.
P.S.
I didn't write that poem, Liu Ling did.

Actually "Carry On Up The Khyber" was re-edited for T.V, "Mustapha Pee" had been removed, when I saw it was anyway.

I drink alcohol when I feel like it but I would not miss it if the laws of biology/chemistry suddenly changed and it vanished forever - but that would not just be a change/removal of the most notable part of British life. I know some Muslims who would notice its disappearance and change coming to their lives too.
what links do I need to prove my point? Everyone knows about the muslims that refused to stand before a judge, it was headline news for over a week, It is a known fact that a lot of people living in this country as imigrants or british citizens do nor speak english! but just for you here are some links for you no doubt to discredit! http://archbishop-cra...use-to-stand-for.html http://www.themuslimw...ghts/womensrights.htm
I don't fear nor resent “johnny foreigner” simply because of the fact that he/she comes from a foreign country. Nor do I fear or resent people who have a different skin tone to my own. But seeing as I'm an ardent believer in free speech, equal rights for women, equal rights for gays and lesbians, etc, I have every reason to resent Islam.

You ask what people are afraid of losing? If the UK became a Muslim state, here's a short list (which is by no means exhaustive) of things you would no longer to able to do without fear of persecution / prosecution....

The right to object to the teachings of Islam;
The right to criticise Islam (and religion in general);
The right to make jokes about religion;
The right to life a secular lifestyle;
The right to be a practising homosexual;
(If female) – The right to be accorded exactly the same rights as men;

The legal rights and every man, woman and child would be severely curtailed if Islam were to became a dominant force in the UK. Quite frankly, if you couldn't care less about the Islamification of Europe and the UK then you're either a Muslim already or you do not understand the Islamic religion at all and are blissfully unaware of the unique experiences that you will be introduced to.
do you reckon the britons were thinking more or less the same thing when the romans were nudging towards britain ? and look at what they did for us,
if britain became a islamic state then we woudnt have no drunken disorderly behaviour therefore less poilice officers and loads more free cell space......

we would also have people being united again and value family traditions....

islam has equal rights for men and women.....women can do whatever they want, evev have there own business. all that islam prevents a women to do is loiter around the streets unnecessarily.....as this causes other men to let there wild imagination loose which could have a domino effect on their family ie cheating on his wife resulting in lonely parents and single parented mother or fathers....

islam in my eyes is a lovely religion, i thinks its the only religion which teaches how to wash ur bum and how to eat etc...

the five time prayers at the mosque is also good as this enables the blood to circulate throughout the entire body.....
Maybe the men should not be allowed to loiter around the streets unnecessarily lest they be tempted to sexually asault women. Or perhaps a fair system would have days for men and days for women to be allowed on the street.

The problem is with the behaviour of the men. Women pay the price for the men's lack of moral character.

Those who think Islam provides equality for women are blind and stupid.

Islam has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to offer decent people.
