hi all, I have been asked to be godfather to my best friends child. Unfortunatly I am no good at standing infront of people and am ''bricking it.'' I have been told you get asked 3 questions and you have to answer them out loud. Something about renouncing the devil. Does anybody know exactly what it is you answer with????? Oh the service is in a week so quick replys are needed, cheers

You don't say which church the service will take place in, but I'm assuming Anglican. I'm a godmother (not a fairy godmother - just an ordinary one), and as far as I recall, you're given a card containing all the words in the ceremony. You and the other godparents, together with the parents, the baby and the priest, gather around the font, and the priest reads his bit, and then you and the other godparents read yours in unison - and it's only one liners so very short. It's not like standing up in public and making a speech, so It's really nothing to worry about at all.
