I'm feeling sad today as I found my pet bunny dead in the conservatory last night, she'd died of old age I think (hope). She was a real character and good company (she roamed free in the garden and the house). I kind of miss her as a 'friend'. Home won't feel the same without her.
It set me wondering, how many of you regard your pets as a friend but of a different species.

Hi Hellyon,
So sorry to hear about your bunny, you must feel awful.
I had to have my 17 year old lhasa-apso put down in may and it was heartbreaking pets do seem to become "one of the family".
I have since got a new puppy same breed and he is adorable
Will you be getting another rabbit?

I know exactly how you feel. My bunny died 2 years ago and I still miss him. I said to people at the time he was like my best friend - I think I was getting some strange reactions from people but I didn't care - I was absolutely devastated. I hope you are not feeling too down, be happy when you think about all the years you and your bunny had together. :-)
my cat...love her...She says hello in meow language. I thought was gonna lose her in july when she got hit by a car....but thankfully she survived & is back to her playful self at age 10.
Its horrid loosing a pet. Feel for U.x
Its devastating when you lose a much loved pet -I really feel for you - you must be gutted x

I look upon my cat as part of the family and have done with any other pet we have had who has passed on.

Sorry to hear about your bunny dying i'd be lost without my
cat, although i wasn't too impressed this morning at 6 am when she crept in under the quilt and proceeded to shove me about until she's got warm and comfy.

hope you feel better soon xx
i had to give up my cat because he didn't get on with my older daughter. he would spit and hiss at her and she was terrified. she wouldn't go anywhere near him and it caused all kinds of trouble.
the vet passed him onto the rspca and i wasn't allowed to know what happened to him. that was over two years ago and i still miss him but my daughter had to come first.
sorry for your loss too. x
Richie - you are a complete tool what the hell is wrong with you? Do you think posting something like on the very day she has found out her rabbit died is hilariously funny? Well done you - i bet you feel really pleased with yourself. w*nker.
sorry to hear that Hellyon....I agree with Drisgirl, pets do become part of the family. Our little dog Terri would be terribly missed if anything was to happen to her.

i have two cats and they are part of the family, one even sleeps on his own pillow beside the bed at night lol
Firstly,Hellyon sorry to hear about your loss-my son has 2 rabbits and loves them to bits.
Secondly,Richie people like you belong in the gutter.
Hellyon , that is sad , your bunny sounds as though she had a good life and was well loved . I had a bunny who was a house one and she lived to be just over 10yrs old.
Oh , yes , for sure , my dog , as with all the pets I've had before, is my friend and is a loved member of my family.
You will miss her (( hug )) xxx
