I'm not really relgious but I found this particular thing intriguing, I read a post somewhere (forgotten where) in the web. It is claimed in the Old Testament (by someone who claims to be of the Muslim faith) that "God tells Moses about the forthcoming of the Prophet Mohammad" so is it true?

Sorry for the Typo, that's "Someone"
Both of the following have been used by Muslims to support their claims:
Deuteronomy 18:15-19
Deuteronomy 34:10-12

"15 A prophet will the LORD thy God raise up unto thee, from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; 16 according to all that thou didst desire of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying: 'Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.' 17 And the LORD said unto me: 'They have well said that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it of him."

10 And there hath not arisen a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face; 11 in all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land; 12 and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel."

What makes em claim thats their Prophet?
... well, Moses was born in Egypt where the majority are Sunni Muslims and sailed off down the River Nile to live a further forty years in Egypt ....
If known, the truth will never be told because as long as there are different cultures and different religions there will always be a divide in the name of religion although ultimately the message and philosophies they all convey, should be one of peace.
To suggest that Mohammed is the prophet foretold in Deuteronomy 18 contradicts the Quran, which declares that the Prophethood and Revelation was to come through the progeny of Isaac and Jacobnot Ishmael (Sura 29:27).
luna-tic,
