NO. Children are too young to understand the underlying purpose of the dogmatically unchanging intention Islam.

It is a degrading and sexist religion which should be send back to its beginning.
Wonder what the reaction from the muslim community would be if THEIR kids came home with a letter explaining their conversion to Judaism or Catholocism.
Is anyone expecting a Muslim madrasas to set the same sort of 'homework' for children from Muslim families to explain how they would handle telling their parents that they had converted to Christianity, or Hindi, or Judaism.

I am glad my gd aren't subjected to that class. As the others have said, I wonder what the Muslims would say if their children were expected to do the same with Christianity..
Lol :-)..It was just similar, that they wrote letters to show they understood. I'm not sure education is ever a bad idea.

I wouldn't mind if any of my children were set this as a homework task.
Not really, divebuddy :-). It was their homework and over a year ago. I can't remember any more details.
My first thought was, what a strange topic for a piece of creative writing - then I read this part of the article....
