Today, terrorism has put the whole world on alert. In any case, you will likely agree with what the apostle Paul wrote long ago: “The scene of this world is changing.”—1 Corinthians 7:31.

Goodlife. I do admire you as a person, being happy to reject all negative replies to your quotes and twaddling. I am not sure if it is true, but the JW callers have appeared to become more civilised in the last couple of decades, usually leaving after an affirmative NO before they start to spout their cold calling repertoire. It makes me happy because I don't like...

Anyone could have written that at any time and been correct.
The world is always changing. It has nothing to do with anything written in the Bible.

Go back a few decades....did you ever think you be able to speak to someone via a PC, laptop, tablet, phone....face to face...half way across the world?

That's change^^
The Bible is full of quotes that can be configured to the needs of almost any argument. (If you want to advocate retribution for an act, just look to 'an eye for an eye'; if you want to advocate forgiveness then go to 'turn the other cheek').

It might be better though to recognise that it's religion that's the cause of a great deal of terrorism, often due to the way that certain groups have chosen to interpret specific quotations from whatever religious texts they hold dear to them. So choosing a random quotation from the Bible is unlikely to help to resolve any problems!

True because you are so divided in many ways, and have different political ideologies, economic systems, social setups and religious beliefs. And people, as a result, often have deep-seated prejudices against those who hold views different from theirs.

All this distrust. And this lack of trust is a major reason for man’s inability to solve problems between nations and peoples.

Your ability to talk down to intelligent adults remains undiminished.

Perhaps it comes from your default position that you believe you know what is best for us - but beware - patronising people is the quickest way to destroy their interest in anything you have to say.

///Terrorism—Why?///

Because they can, and no-one has yet shown they have the cojones to stand up to them!
Time and distance make it so easy to misinterpret the writings of old.

This actually refers to a set change in the Central Theatre, Corinth during a production of Many More Than Three Men In A Boat.

Douglas, one could be forgiven for thinking that you and Ludwig are one and the same. You always make me laugh. :o)

so you see lasting peace to be established, race relations improved and better living conditions realized? Or, do you see approaching a time when world conditions will grow even worse?

///do you see approaching a time when world conditions will grow even worse?///

That'll ^^ be the one!
Not to worry, Baldric. Goodlife relishes the prospect of most of the earth's population being destroyed. Happy days. He's a true Christian, you know. :o)

Is that when you gaze into your crystal ball?

Naom @It is folly to judge a matter before you hear it.—Prov. 18:13.
Bible or no Bible, I have to agree with Baldric. Things will get far worse....

naomi, I sometimes think the same as goodlife but not by gazing into my crystal ball ... more likely when gazing into my tenth pint of the evening.
Goodlife, //It is folly to judge a matter before you hear it.//

Great! You've finally seen the light! You might consider sharing that with your friends who predicted the end of times so often - and were wrong on every occasion. Cheer up, Goodlife - it might never happen. :o)
-Talbot-, then you have an excuse. :o)

Some people are born optimists. Regardless of how bad things seem to be, they always manage to venture a smile and contend that it could be worse.

True much can be said in defense of optimism, but it should never be allowed to becloud your vision and prevent you from viewing things realistically.

Ignoring problems will never solve them refusing to recognize a problem increases the possibility of you becoming its victims.( Gen. 6:11)
