Taking mum in law away for a few days.. in a few weeks time.. she's a regular church go-er... hubby & I aren't.. would a Choral Evensong service be suitable for her to go to..and not too ''heavy'' for us non - church go-ers? We know nothing about the Evensong service, apart from its about an hour in length..mum in law is a regular church go-er..but will miss her normal service because of travelling.. but we have discovered that the above service is ''on'' and at just the right time when we get to our destination.. thanks for any input on this! I would have thought so, but the best person to ask is your MIL.
How thoughtful of you crisper. Do ask her. You might enjoy the Choral part.

Thanks Daisy & Boxtops xx : - ))
That depends on what type of service she's used to. Choral Evensong involves a choir singing the evening prayer of the Church in Anglican chant. If your mother in law is a High Church Anglican she'll like it. If she's Catholic, she might find it entertaining. If she's non-conformist, she'll hate it as much as you will.
I am a devout Atheist but have enjoyed the sung Mass and and things like it Wells Cathedral in the past. The music should be sublime.
