I have been very poorly....so bad that a friend has had to come to look after me.

Now, had it been one of my female friends it wouldn't have been so bad but I have some very kind male friends...one of whom came to my rescue.

Last night I went through one of those crisis things you see in cowboy films where the sick person is going to live or pop their clogs while a worried person mops their brow. I lived.
I fell out of bed in the early hours staggered onto the landing and that is where the ceiling, walls, floor and my head went in different directions.
I crashed through the bathroom door on legs no longer working and....
..... fell into the toilet bowl......my chin resting on the rim and my right arm down the pan....which would have been bad enough if I hadn't been clutching my glasses...God knows why I picked them up on the way???
They broke but not beyond repair.

If my kind nursemaid had been female the toilet seat would have been down, wouldn't it?
But he has looked after me well so I shall forgive him...when he's fixed my spectacles and made another hot toddy.....☺
