The fact is that you can not see God does not disprove the existence.

No. In time those who don't believe will stand in shock and abject misery before the judgement throne. They'll be expecting the worst. But to their great delight they'll find themselves being judged on their actions during this life rather than what they've said. There will be a confrontation of sorts. Give me the proof.

No further proof is necessary, for anyone reasonably free of old illusions and prejudices.///

Pathetic! not even a short entry such as goodlifes last one can be managed without cutting and pasting!
Normal people will carry on with their business as usual while the rest talk to that place on the wall with a kinda glum chap nailed to two pieces of wood on it.
Goodlife is using AB as a pulpit, in the usual way. Best ignored, like all JWs.

Let say everyone seemed to be having a good time at a party when the man of the house arrived. He was greeted enthusiastically by all except one.

Why? Because the man of the house had ignored this man’s outstretched hand. He certainly was nursing a grudge, and how unhappy it made him every time he saw the object of his grudge!

For one thing, you cannot nurse a grudge against a person without disliking that one, and dislike can well turn to hate. What does the Bible say about that: Everyone who hates his brother is a manslayer. (1 John 3:15) And that can turn to actual murder,
No. In time those who don't believe will stand in shock and abject misery before the judgement throne. They'll be expecting the worst. But to their great delight they'll find themselves being judged on their actions during this life rather than what they've said.
There will be a confrontation of sorts. The goodly unGodly will have to confront the fact that they were wrong.
Goodlife...this is drivel.
Interesting word - confrontation.
noun
1. an act of confronting.
2. the state of being confronted.
3. a meeting of persons face to face.
4. an open conflict of opposing ideas, forces, etc.
5. a bringing together of ideas, themes, etc., for comparison.

Confrontation implies hostility, although like a fight, a confrontation can involve actual violence, or just a clash of words. A confrontation often refers to a military encounter involving opposing armies. This meaning became popular after the Cuban missile crisis in 1963. Before that, confrontation was used to mean "bringing two opposing parties face to face," from the Latin word confrontationem.

So will there be a confrontation with God. Yes. The Bible tells us that at the moment God is giving people the opportunity to come to him. But that time is fast drawing to a close and then it will be too late. Jesus himself said that everyone has to make a choice, there is no sitting on the fence, you are either for him or against him.

The Book of Revelation (Chapter 16) talks of a time when God comes into a confrontation with the Nations at Armageddon.
Yet more drivel.
Goodlife, If you're talking about people holding a grudge against God, you have the wrong end of the stick entirely. As far as I’m aware, no one who disagrees with you here harbours a grudge against God. They can’t – they don’t believe he exists – so that would be completely irrational.

idiosyncrasy, //you are either for him or against him//

Never has a man in all of history been so misrepresented. Christianity has a lot to answer for.
"Goodlife is using AB as a pulpit, in the usual way. Best ignored, like all JWs."
Most JWs I knew were just as ignorant, deluded and incapable of reason as Goodlife is. But most were a lot better than him/her: they lacked the patronising sneer.

There are people like you that made every effort to discredit Jehovah’s Witnesses, but the eyes of the government, attacking them through both press and radio and urging the expulsion of all Witness missionaries. The government formed a special committee to determine what should be done in view of all the charges. Present at that meeting was a lawyer who had once prepared a thesis on the legal battles of Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world and on their benefits to the community. He spoke up in behalf of the Witnesses, reminding the committee: These people have won their legal rights worldwide in countless countries.

He urged the government to do at least as much for the Witnesses, if not more. The committee decided to let Jehovah’s Witnesses continue their activity unhindered.

Yes it has been charged that we are ferocious beasts and dangerous killers. But the evidence is that such behavior usually results from severe provocation and the fear of what man will do, based on the background of bitter experience. Not too many of our kind deliberately seek out a confrontation with man, and, if given the choice, we invariably seek safety in flight. Do you blame us. Psalm 37:29.
goodlife - I am genuinely interested - why do you do this?

You post a relgion-based point, often with a quote.

You receive a variety of responses, most reasoned, and thoughtfully presented.

You present more tracts in quote marks.

You never interact with any other individual on the AB.

What - if anything - do you get out of doing this?

You may well have a point there.
From what I have seen and heard of religion, they will receive their just deserts.
goodlife Do you want to get your message to non believers ?
If you do you must interact with them . Prove to them you are right !
Give real examples of your claims. Just saying there is massive evidence for something is meaninless, unless you back it up , with something factual . Quoting from the bible is not and never has been evidence .
The key word is INTERACTION with all those non believers . The fact they are on this site and join your threads show they are willing to listen. No one will slam a door in your face . Use all that vast amount of evidence at your disposal to prove them wrong.
Actually, Modeller, going around proving to other people how s/he's right (and, by implication, that they're wrong) is exactly what is so hostile and alienating about what s/he is doing.

Goodlife, you are a footsoldier in the Sales and Marketing division of a multi-million dollar organisation. If the bosses are all swanning around in private planes and Cadillacs, you should at least get a fancy car as part of the deal.

Don't tell me you do all this stuff voluntarily?

idiosyncrasy, //From what I have seen and heard of religion, they will receive their just deserts.//

Curious. From what I read you're as culpable as the rest of them.
The ABers who frequent R&S may not look into Chatterbox. Yesterday one of our fellow ABers, Squarebear, announced that he had won a prize for his 'chatterbot', Mitsuku. Perhaps some of the regulars here in R&S were also rans in that competition.
What does that have to do with R&S? As far as the people here are concerned, I can only speak for myself, but his considerable talent is admirable, and therefore congratulations were in order and were duly given.
