If you appear to be relaxed, it will help to lessen your fears.
(Prov. 15:7)

That sounds like a good idea I have a lot of fears
No. I fear eternal hellfire and nothing I do seems to mitigate my dread.
You've been on here to long, Sandy . God is very forgiving!
i appear relaxed because i am relaxed
Helpful tip number 423 - Provided by your neighbourhood trite scriptural reference service.

And I feel the parable as stated is untrue. Allowing oneself to relax may well allay fears; but a relaxed appearance does not automatically mean that someone actually is relaxed.
Yes, I suppose so. He's bound to take the time served here in AB into consideration. ;-)
But you're not an atheist are you, Sandy?
The god that goodlife worships seems singularly unforgiving to me. This is the same god whose preachers believe endorses the practice of disfellowshipping - of shunning family, friends or colleagues if they leave or have doubts about hte faith - They place loyalty to Jehovah above and beyond love or loyalty to family.

Does not sound at all forgiving to me. Sounds much more like a jealous megalomaniac, in fact...
If Sandy were an atheist, he would not be fearing eternal hellfire.
It would be arrogance of the first water to do as many here do and declare:'There is no God'.
My honest answer, I don't know. But try to keep on his good side, just in case.
I have no fears that I am aware of, my life is very stressfull indeed, but what should I fear? But then again I am an atheist,
That's what's called hedging your bets, Sandy. I'm convinced there is a God
and no-one can take that away from me. I am not a Jehova's Witness though. Although Jehova is one of the many names used for God in the
Old Testament.
"The lips of the wise ones keep scattering knowledge about,+ but the heart of the stupid ones is not like that"

????????????????
Definitely can't see the connection with the question. I don't suppose you'd care to explain would you?
Oh! and if you're just going to paste some more scripture as an answer please don't bother. I won't understand that either.
sandyRoe, //No. I fear eternal hellfire//

Perhaps you should join Goodlife's cult - no hell - just obliviously dead forever. Sounds fair enough to me.
not at all.
But hell and heaven are the two side of the same coin. If you believes there is no hell how could you hope for salvation?
What Bible do you use, goodlife. In the NIV [Proverbs 15:7] The lips of the
wise spread knowledge; not so the hearts of fools.
Cupid - My quote was from the JW bible I think.
Still doesn't make sense. Maybe his auto-question generator needs an update.
sandyRoe, Well, apparently all you have to do is believe a man who founded a cult a hundred or so years ago, abandon your intellect to the will of an imaginary psychopathic entity, broadcast as often as possible a carefully chosen selection of words from the bible (conveniently wonkily interpreted for you beforehand), reject your family and friends if they don’t believe what you’re saying, care absolutely nothing for anyone who doesn’t think as you do, do absolutely nothing to alleviate poverty and suffering in the world – and bingo! You’re in! Well, you’re not ‘in’ heaven – that’s reserved for the elite – plebs aren’t allowed – but once the imaginary psychopathic entity has destroyed most of the people on earth, as you should by now be naturally eager for him to do, you can share it for eternity with all those people who think exactly as you do. Attractive proposition?

How did I do Goodlife? That’s about right, isn’t it? There you go. You might have a convert there. ;o)
I think Sandy that the height of arrogance is to claim the existence of a personal god without the slightest evidence to support the notion
