Since joining AB I have followed the threads regarding the above. Am I right in thinking there are more non-believing Abers than believers, or do the believers prefer not to get entangled with this subject. I myself believe.

chaka35 I am not hiding away. My last post appears to have been deleted whereby I mentioned that the debate between mankind believing in God or not and what He did and did not do will do doubt continue until the "Second Coming of Jesus". Therefore, I have given up banging my head against the 'proverbial' brick wall. I believe what I believe and I am not telling you or other non believers to change your beliefs. However, asking me if I worship Hitler was a bit childish, dont you think.
MrsLulu, your post hasn't been deleted. You posted it on a different thread.

The "debate" by mankind about whether there is a God or not, and what He has done and not done, will no doubt continue on this Earth until the 'Second Coming of Jesus'.

Head banging can continue if so desired.
MrsLulu - the comparison with Hitler was perfectly logical. If you are happy to worship a creature that committed all of those crimes against humanity as listed in the OT then why do you jib at Hitler who, evil as he was, sought 'only' to wipe out Jews, gypsies and a few others. What's that compared with destroying every man. woman, child and animal on earth - with the exception of fish and birds, I presume, and one favoured family?

Religious cherry-picking again.
Chakka, I think most of the fish and most of the birds would also have died, warm oceans mixing with cold oceans and salt water mixing with fresh water, the birds not being able to land or perch.........
Actually the Flood story is part of my "case against God" but even so it's just about possible to find a way round it. Imagine you created the World and the whole Universe and brought into the world people whose job it was to look after the world and worship you. Then as your creation you have the right to do with it as you will. The argument the story made was that it was God's wrath at humans for falling into sin. Which means that they were disobeying their Creator.

I don't like it really either, since if we're to take the analogy of a Father God seriously it would be like my parents walking into my room and setting it on fire with me inside after I'd stopped listening to them for a few weeks.
That ain't working for me Jim mate lol
Not a surprise - but then as you can see it doesn't really work for me.
