Is it possible to get the Sky entertainment pack (or something similar) through the TV aerial?
No cable and not able to put up a dish.
Elderly friend who has had to move into a care home, and loves her TV, and has been using sky a lot.

Thanks

No, I don't think so. If she has a computer (and internet connection) she might be able to subscribe to their online stuff
has she looked into the BT tv option?

She's 89 and couldn't use a computer if her life depended on it!

No I haven't looked into BT tv - don't know anything about it. Guess I should find out.

Thanks

just looked - it appears you have to have broadband to get bt tv. Not going to happen I htink
Why not ask the care home about getting Sky or cable put in. There might be some kind of deal that could be struck.
The talk talk tv offering also has add on packages that include Sky but they may also require internet connection.

BTW you don't need a computer to access broadband

as long as there is a suitable broadband modem with unlimited download somewhere in the building for the tv boxes to access

no cable in our neck of the woods I'm afraid!

Care Home won't do satellite - but we'll see if they will let us install it.
