Is there a register of catholic priests in the UK?
I am trying to find a cousin of mine who is a priest.
Any and all assistance will be gratefully received.

I don't think there's an actual list, but I think you can now ask the police if there are any in your area.
Contrary to what some people might think, not all priests are known to the police.
Have you googled his name? it may pop up on a Diocese website.

GetOverIt,
your answer is offensive!
A tiny minority of Priests have brought shame to the vocation of many good men, just as in many other professions, so an apology is called for here!
No apology - its a joke!
It is generally a closely-linked network, especially on a regional basis, so asking one catholic priest may give you a lead. In addition, the seminaries of the UK might be able to help if asked nicely - Ushaw College at Durham could be a good point to start.
Ask the Reference Section of your local library. I know our main library holds Crockfords, which lists C of E clergy, and similar year books for Baptist, Methodist etc. If you can guess which diocese he is in, you might find something on its website.
GetOverIt,
hiding behind "it's a joke" is a poor excuse and not funny in the slightest. Would you find it funny if someone was to insinuate that there are doubts about you're integrity?
I think you mean YOUR, you're is short for YOU ARE.

"Doubts about you are integrity" would make no sense.

YOU'RE humourless and stupid.
GetOverIt,
You're quite correct and I apologise for the grammatical error, your turn to apologise for the statement you made "in jest" offending people with your weak attempt at humour. I am neither humourless nor stupid and your need to resort insult loses you the argument!
Madmonks, all priests who were/are aware of others in the Faith acting outside the law and not taking action are guilty of immorality, and that includes the pope. Your 'tiny minority' assumption is incorrect.

You really need to GetOverIt.
No apology for the priests.

The supposed "tiny minority" of pedophiles and rapists in the priesthood far exceeds the rate population particularly among professions with similar access and trust with children.

If teachers had the same rates of offence as priests there would be many thousands in the courts. Teachers also have mandatory reporting if they suspect any wrongdoing by their colleagues or that a child is in danger.
I work in Social work, my son is a teacher and both myself and my other son are volunteers with a youth organisation. We all know about reporting this kind of wrongdoing and I personally have reported this in the past so I think I have more experience of this than most of those commenting here. It is wrong to assume that a whole group of people are as bad as the offenders within that grouping, if that was the case then the whole human race is guilty by association. The crimes committed by abusers are heinous and to be condemned but do not include the innocent with the offenders.
They are all bad. All priests participate in promulgating the lies of religion. When they teach it to children it is a form of child abuse.

Yes you aught to know better in your line of work but apparently you don't care to look. Collectively, religion has resisted the pressure from society to introduce the system of mandatory reporting that covers virtually all other professionals that deal with children.

And why? Because they see themselves as above the laws and norms of society.

Guilty by association? I avoid associating with priests. So do a lot of other people. Indeed in Australia twice as many marriages are conducted outside churches as inside them.
there are bad people everywhere..career choice really does not matter.
