If the Christian God, that so many Americans are always going on about, loves us so much, why did he allow such a thing to happen ?

More evidence - if any were needed - that if a God exists it is not a personal God, it takes no interest whatsoever in man, and it certainly does not protect the weak. ‘Suffer little children……’ Yes indeed.
