School Reunions.....
54 Answers
Are they worth going to? I really didn't like school, and the teachers I did like, well to tell the the truth, they were all near retiring when I left so if they're still alive now, I'd be quite surprised! Are these functions just a way to show off? Coz if so, I'm really not interested. I have two friends fro school I've kept in touch with, one lives in Zurich, the other in Australia and neither of them will be going.

Mind you, tracking me might be difficult if there ever was one. I've moved well away from the area and changed both my surname (twice) and forename!

Not worth going to.
Those people with whom you didn't stay in touch ...
... there was probably a reason why you didn't.
Having said which, we have a good old girls network, and I suppose most schools are similar, and I quite often meet girls from my old school whom I didn't know when I was there.
It opens doors for you, but hey ... that's what schools are for.
Now I'm starting to change my mind about reunions. Maybe it is worth getting in touch with old school mates with whom you've lost contact.

Only reunion's I have been to are ahen someone from the group of friends i was with at school arranges something so we can all get back together for a sociable chat and drink, not easy to do as we have spread to all parts of the planet but usually manage to meet up somewhere every 5 years or so.
As for a full school reunion, well I wouldnt go if they paid me. I didnt get on with people then so cant see it being any different now. I would imagine it just being every person for themselves trying to get one up on the rest. Not my idea of a fun night.

Now doc.....don't be like that!! I got my wealth through mis-fortune of a near fatal accident. And if it seemed like I was bragging on here, it was only me answering a question honestly - somebody said 'you must have a big kitchen' etc, or you must have a good supplier of meat etc. I told them the truth.
