Franz, Duke of Bavaria, claims to be the rightful king of England, Scotland and Ireland.
There are pretenders to most countries.

I keep telling people to call me 'your majesty' but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick.
There is a guy (in Belgium) who claims that he is descended from Bonnie Prince Charlie's marriage to a
Marguerite Comtesse De Massillan, the only problem is,this person and the marriage never existed!
Bonnie Prince Charlie actually married Louise Maximilienne Caroline Emmanule Prinzessin zu Stolberg-Gedern,and from this marriage they only had a daughter;who being female could not inherit rights to the throne.
I bought (remaindered) the book "The Forgotten Monarchy of Scotland" by the self styled HRH Prince Michael of Albany.
He has since be proved to be a complete fake, obviously he has been remaindered too! LOL
Amazing what you can pass yourself of as given enough family trees, and willing victims!
I should say that I agree with hc4361 that the Duke of Bavaria would be King now if his branch of the Stuart Family had not been Catholic, which was why they were excluded.
He is descended from Charles II Sister, Henrietta Anne(Duchesse D'Orleans)

Further to my fisrst answer,I may be wrong about Bonnie Prince Charlie's daughter not being able to inherit,it is possible she might have been able to,BUT that branch of the Stuart Family died out with her son anyway.
