This question stems from a discussion elsewhere. If you really thoroughly disliked another ABer, and he/she posted a question asking for help on a serious problem, that you were able to provide, would you help them, or would you ignore the question - and what would be your reasons for your decision?

Well I'm very fond of quotes + sayings, and this is from a song which i'm particulary fond of - "bury the hatchet, but leave the handle sticking out" x

Words of wisdom indeed, Bathsheba. :o)
Hope you enjoy it. It does have some bad language in it (should have warned you before). But it is really really good.

If you are about tomorrow, let me know what you thought.

Will do.

Vic, I've watched it, and it was excellent. Thank you for recommending it. Totally unbiased and extremely thought-provoking to say the least. Absolutely superb!! (I tell you, regardless of the consequences, if I'd have been that woman who was molested by the policeman early on in the film, my stiletto heel would have ruined all his future relationships forever!).
glad you enjoyed it - really opens your (well my) eyes with regards people's perceptions.

If you want another good fm (thought provoking), try Gone, Baby, Gone. Only just been released in the cinema over here (delayed due to the Madeline McCann incident). You can get it on DVD from America (if your DVD player is multi region).

Not a feel good film by any stretch of the imagination, but very thought provoking.

Back to Crash - I think it is one of the best films ever made and should be made compulsive viewing for everybody.

I wouldn't say it opened my eyes - I've always known that prejudice, fear, and sometimes sheer stupidity, comes from all quarters - but it did emphasise the futility that is unfounded prejudice. Additionally, without such brilliantly clever direction, it could so easily have become complex and confusing, but it flowed beautifully, with all the links joining perfectly. A superb film. Thanks again.
