Cancelled holiday refubd

My boyfriend's mum and dad had booked a holiday for this september to USA through Expedia. Now his Dad has had to go into hospital and they want to cancel the holiday. Would they be entitled to any refunds? The flights were through BA, but i think the whole holiday was booked through Expedia anyway.... It seems a bit unfair if they loose the whole holiday because of the Dad being ill.... Thanks for any answers

If your boyfriends dads hospital stay is due to a pre-existing condition and they do have insurance, the policy will normally be paid IF it was disclosed at the time of purchase. If not then I am afraid it is highly unlikely that he will recieve a refund.
