I just had to ask if anyone knew whether it is males or females who are most likely to cheat on their partners? I heard that it once use to be the majority of males who would cheat and now the table has gradually turned. Is this true?

Don't know the male stats but i read on a BBC website article that 23% of women have done it at some point (which is quite worrying). Young girls are just as bad as young boys nowadays(when it comes to casual sex). Our Two apprentices in the office tell me stories which worry me greatly as I have two young daughters myself. I blame the ladette culture generating from idiots like Jordan, jodie marsh and sara cox. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3783031.stm
I dont think you could put it down to one sex over another. I think a lot of it has to do with the culture you have been brought up in. Ned - ive heard the stories too and yeah they are slightly worrying especially when you have a family of your own to consider. Not everyone in your office is like that (or are they!)
how about travelling husbands of any trade?
worder has it down to a tee, travelling men - also men who reach about 50 tend to go a bit mid-life crisisy and have to get 30 something girlfriends, start clubbing and riding motorbikes without a backwards glance to their wives or kids. think it's in your nature to be a cheater or not, to some people it is totally unacceptable behaviour to others they rationalise it. although i accept that people can change but if they've cheated in the past i'd be wary that they'll do it again, regardless of sex, as they have justified that cheating is acceptbale behaviour at least once before in their lives.
In my long and eventful life with much water under the bridge etc etc i would say a man will cheat on a woman with out very little thought of the wife and kids if the opportunity arose if there was no chance she would find out.Unfortunately in this modern era people especially men will not put the effort into a relationship to keep the spark and love there.would you say that the following is right,"a man needs sex to have love,a women needs love to have sex".
From an evolutionary perspective it's thought that men are innately more promiscuous because they need to maximise their chances of reproducing! Many evolutionary psychologists today still stand by this explanation.
