Why is there a high proportion of gaylords in hairdressing and air hostessing?

Also why are there so many lesbian Police Officers and those awful Community Wardens??

I hold no prejudice, but can not think of why the above have such a gay connection?

It's probably the uniforms Bewlay Bros. Shall I ask my gay Police Community Support Officer son to confirm this for you?
I am not racist or prejudiced but.............................................
BB/ Minter not racist or prejudised? Dont make me laugh.
One might as well ask why the lamest posters on the Answerbank all have names related to David Bowie.
Good point WMF I bet Minter kisses a pic of bowie before he goes to sleep. Love perhaps?
Oh god - you mean it's just *one* mega-lame person with multiple log ins? I had no idea.
Maybe they just feel they can come out in those professions Belway, perhaps they're everywhere, oh my god you might be sitting next to one right now. Be afraid be very afraid !!!
gaylords?
All the male hairdressers I have known (and there have been many) were all straight.
Lords of being happy as I understood it clairey.
Yep!
i dont know any male hairdressers but i know a lesbian firefighter, she obviously wasnt attracted to the job by the men in uniform :)
All the male hairdressers I know are gay. As are a surprisingly high number of civil servants. Doesn't make any difference to me but I think most of them are freemasons too, perhaps the masons have something to do with this phenomenon?
she is a mad woman red, fancy being surrounded by all that testosterone in uniform and prefering a woman ...geez
lol cazz, i know exactly what you mean!
Not all hairdressers are gay, let me assure you. Camp maybe.
My hairdresser is a bloke and he's amazing.

He also used to be a builder and is a typical 'lad' so very much in to his ladies. He just likes styling hair. Which is just fine and dandy with me.
Wow d'you mean that the Airhostess who followed me into the Loo was lying ?
Ahhhh nothing like a stereotype, people who raise these kind of questions usually have something to hide themselves...

I trained as a hairdresser when I left school, am not gay and have had more women than you've had hot dinners.

Rev, obviously at your hairdressing school they didn't teach you the difference between "high proportion" and absolute certainty.

I would estimate the gay population to be at 10-15 percent of the overall population. If you honestly believe that this is the same in hairdressing and airhosting, then perhaps you should in fact try a different question.
