My Boss Didn't Get Me A Thing For Christmas

He has cleared off now for Christmas so no time left for a last minute pressie! It's my second year working for him and last year he didn't bother either. I feel I'm being treated differently, as my predecessor (who has now retired) used to get loads from him at Christmas. I feel disappointed that he obviously doesn't like me. Am I wrong to feel this way?

Treacle; maybe he had known her for ages and you're just a newish person. I wouldn't take it too seriously.

Maybe he misunderstands "present company excepted".

Treacle; maybe he had known her for ages and you're just a newish person. I wouldn't take it too seriously.

Maybe they thought giving you a job was enough

Presents are not compulsory. Maybe he doesn't celebrate Christmas.

What did you buy him, Treacle?

He does not have to get you a gift!

you make no effort to get on with your colleagues and constantly complain about them.

maybe he is fed up with you and doesn't feel you deserve a gift

I hate presents of any kind so it wouldn't fuss me

Maybe he felt in a rut, compelled to buy your predecessor a present and took the opportunity to break the habit when she left.

Maybe they were having an affair.

Don't let it bother you

If he didn't give you a gift last year then you might have guessed he wouldn't do so this year.  Do the rest of the staff exchange gifts?

Maybe he's a Jehovah's Witness . They don't celebrate Christmas

it is a job.... just get on with it and or get a better one

My heart bleeds for you.

Did he not appreciate the gift you gift him either ?

I've never had a boss give me a Christmas present. I used to get an extra £10 in my wages when I was working in a pub, but the wages lady said "Don't thank Tony. He doesn't know."
