Given all the controversy over the transgender issue and whether or not men who self-identify as women should be allowed to use women’s facilities, should we establish an accepted third gender as I believe some other countries have, and allocate those people separate spaces?

"Is obviously, because they usually only have access to their own sex. In the real world over 90% of attacks, are male on female."

I wonder the % of those that live together vs random strangers.
Does it really matter?
Absolutely.
Pixie... talks about stats

Me: asks for stats / more info

Pixie: Does it really matter?

I guess only if it supports your prejudice
I don't understand, roadman. Stats aren't prejudice. Did you have a point?
You asked rhe difference between whether people know each other. I asked if that makes a difference?

Jim, //the answer cannot be (or cannot merely be) to create more segregation by sex or gender,//

But by the very nature of trans people they are separate simply because they don’t ‘fit’ into either of the two existing categories. The may ‘self-identify’ but that doesn’t mean they are what they claim to be. They’re not.

//because the other factor that was overlooked in the post is that most of the sexual assaults in prisons involve women attacking other women or men attacking other men.//

That’s skirting the issue completely.
The issue is you see a random stranger who is a trans woman and think they want to assault you. I do think that is actually the only issue at hand
Just keep to two loos and rename 'Female genetalia' and 'Male Genetalia'. Simples!!

roadman, //The issue is you see a random stranger who is a trans woman and think they want to assault you.//

Who are you talking to?
Transgender people in prison, as a percentage (Jim will know) have attacked, far more than women have. One point, which nobody seems bothered about, is that it's literally about what sex you are. I would have much less chance against a man, than another women. Nobody objects to lesbians being in a female prison. It isn't about gender, sexuality etc. It's about sex.
Totally wrong, roadman. Trangender males, have exactly the same statistics as males for violence. Trans -or even transexual, doesn't change that.
A woman is no more and no less likely to be attacked by a transgender male than any other. Those not wanting to share private space with a man, would (or logically should) have exactly the same wariness with a transgender man.
It's the typical "not all men". But it only takes one.
Pixie if w used prison statistics and used them against citizens it wouldnt highlight an accurate representation because you know not everyone has a criminal mindset to land them in prison so why on earth are you doing that with trans people it's barbaric

I guess you said it so it must be true LOL come on.. Provide the evidence your word means nothing to me
I'm not referring to prison statistics! That's real life.
youre using prisoners as a representation for a whole community........... enough said have a good day people

//transformed retain the male pattern of male violent crime//

However, look it up wherever you like- the truth remains the truth.
Wrong again.
// trans women// ...
